About us

Our mission is to educate the public on the benefits of police service dogs in California State Parks and our surrounding communities, and provide charitable assistance in caring for our retired K9 partners.

The California State Park Canine Foundation is a non profit organization. The state park canine program began in 1969. Currently, there are 19 K9 teams spread across the state. They work in various parks from historic Hearst Castle to the desert sand dunes of Ocotillo Wells. The California State Park Canine Foundation strives to increase public awareness of the park's special K9 teams through community events and outreach programs. Please join us in supporting our unique state park canines!
